What is your return/exchange policy?

 Jewelers has a 30-day, return/exchange policy. If your Jewelers purchase does not meet your expectations, we will be glad to offer an exchange or return for an in-store credit for up to 30 days after the original purchase date. Modified or altered items cannot be returned or exchanged, nor can custom or special orders. Also, watches that have been worn or altered cannot be returned or exchanged.

What warranties do you offer?

Diamond Warranty - We provide a lifetime replacement warranty for any diamond under .25 carats. The diamond and mounting must be inspected at least twice a year and not have been worked on by any other jeweler without  Jewelers approval.

Jewelry Warranty - We provide a lifetime warranty on jewelry. This warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship and includes any repair work necessary to bring the jewelry back to original condition. This warranty does not cover any damage to the jewelry due to misuse or neglect.

Watch Warranty - We provide a two-year warranty on all our watches. The warranty covers the watch movement and guarantees that your watch will keep accurate time. External parts are not covered under this warranty, but if you were to damage your watch, we will repair it for you at 25% below our regular price.

What is your trade-in policy?

We accept any Jewelers diamond (or diamond jewelry item) as a trade-in toward a new diamond purchase of at least twice its purchase price. That means you receive full credit for what you paid for your original purchase applied in trade toward a new diamond or piece of diamond jewelry of double its value or more. For example, you can "grow" your diamond solitaire by trading up; you could replace a 1/2 carat center diamond with a one-carat diamond. Or you may want a new piece of diamond jewelry, so you could trade in a diamond pendant toward a diamond bracelet – as long as the new item is at least twice the price of the original. We accept one item in trade per purchase.

Do you offer complimentary jewelry cleaning?

Yes. Please visit our store located in Carlsbad, CA. for complimentary jewelry cleaning and inspection.

Does Jewelers provide financing?

Yes, we offer financing on approval of credit. If you plan to make a purchase, please stop in and apply for an account by filling out the necessary paperwork. You’ll need a current state-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license. We have two options for financing, with our primary option being through Wells Fargo Finance. The whole process is automated online and should take less than an hour and in some cases -- depending on your purchase and the amount you want to finance -- your account can be approved in minutes.

When I leave my jewelry for repair, how will I know I’m getting back the same diamond or gemstone?

For over 12 years we’ve been earning the trust of our customers through outstanding service and exacting attention to detail, including a stringent protocol for accepting jewelry for repair. During our “take-in” procedure, we will examine your diamond or gemstone under a microscope and you’ll be invited to look also, so you can see what’s unique about your jewelry. We’ll then note any special characteristics of your diamond or gemstone right on the repair envelope and give you a copy for reference. Repairs are performed on-site so your jewelry never leaves our store. When you return to pick up your jewelry, we’ll re-examine it under the microscope with you and review the notations and characteristics of your diamond or gemstone. Recognizing what’s unique about your jewelry, you’ll be assured that this is the same piece you left in our care.

Should I insure my fine jewelry?

While  Jewelers provides a lifetime warranty against defects in material or workmanship for all of the jewelry you purchase from our store, we also strongly recommend having your jewelry insured against theft, unusual damage, complete loss or other issues not covered under your our warranty. Your jewelry can be added to your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy, or you can go through a specialty insurer such as Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company (www.jewelersmutual.com). We’ll be glad to provide you with all the information you need to get started.

Why is my white gold turning yellow?

Pure gold in its raw 24K state comes out of the ground yellow. Whitening alloys are added to give white gold its signature color. (For example, in an 18K ring, 18 parts are gold and 6 parts are alloys.) Over time, white gold can "warm up" and take on a slightly yellow tinge. Periodic coatings of rhodium, a white metal from the platinum family, will revive the original bright white of your white gold jewelry. Remember, if your purchased your white gold jewelry from  Jewelers, we offer a once a year lifetime complimentary rhodium plating service.

Do you design and create custom jewelry?

Yes. We are custom design specialists. Any of our knowledgeable staff will be able to assist you in the creation of a custom jewelry piece. Simply bring in your ideas, sketches, pictures or other inspiration and we’ll help you realize your dreams of making your custom piece come to life. Whether it’s a custom wax, a 3D CAD (computer aided design) drawing or a hand crafted design, we have the skill and experience to make it perfect.
